  4.            ListMate 1.0 Abstract and Instructions
  5.  
  6. ListMate 1.0 is a mailing list manager that produces data that is directly
  7. compatible with MultiMate (tm) data formats.  Lists created in ListMate can be
  8. entered, manipulated, and printed within the ListMate system.  In addition,
  9. ListMate lists can be merged directly with MultiMate "boiler plate" documents
  10. in MultiMate.  A general understanding of MultiMate and the Merge process is
  11. helpful in order to fully take advantage of ListMate lists and their data
  12. format.  Once the MultiMate merge process is understood, ListMate's advantages
  13. will become clear and it will prove to be a real time saver!

  15. ListMate comes ready to load on any IBM PC compatable.    Instructions detailing
  16. the installation of DOS onto the ListMate system disk can be found in the
  17. documentation file included on this disk.  Once at the main menu, color users
  18. can select the "palette" of their choice for ListMate.  By holding the Alt key
  19. down and pressing any number between 3-7, the backround, menu and foreground
  20. colors will change to that number's color combination.  Monochrome graphics
  21. users should select palette 2, and IBM monochrome users should select palette
  22. 1.  Palette 8 is for Compaq (tm), and palette 9 is reserved.  Palette selction
  23. is not required, but it makes the screen more lively!  All of the palette
  24. procedures are fully explained in the documentation.

  35. To recieve further instructions, simply load the system!  Help is provided
  36. every step of the way.    To start ListMate:  load DOS; at the DOS prompt (A>)
  37. type 'LISTMATE' (do not include the quotes) and press the Enter key.  The first
  38. screen will provided all the instructions and information you will need to use
  39. ListMate without even seeing the documentation.

  41. ListMate is being distributed on a FaiWare (tm) basis:    the product can be
  42. copied and distributed freely.    Anyone finding the product useful is requested
  43. to send the suggested contribution of $25 to SWFTE, Inc.  Disks may be
  44. purchased from SWFTE, Inc.  for $25, plus $5 for postage and handling.    We are
